The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) sold treasury bills for the 1-year and 6 months worth EGP218bn and EGP47bn, with yields of 30.14% vs. 32.3% and 29.91% vs. 31.84%, respectively. Despite the retreat in the yields, the offers where 13x and 4x higher than the original ask. (Enterprise)
Agthia plans on investing in Egypt
Agthia, a subsidiary of ADQ Holding plans to construct an export facility in Egypt, without adding more details on the exact place or timing. The head of the company’s snack sector and government relations, said that the company plans to use the exports facility as a hub to serve the Gulf and North Africa. (Enterprise)
Al Ahly Sabbour eyes a project in Ras El Hekma
Al Ahly Sabbour, an Egyptian real estate developer, is interested in investing in an urban and tourism project in Ras El Hekma at a 1,000 feddans land, said by the Chairman. He added that it is expected to launch the project's first phase on more than a 200 feddans land. (Al-Arabiya)
