Pricier electricity for the industrial sector during August
Sources said the government will raise the electricity prices for the industrial sector through August for the first time in 4 years. This is due to the higher electricity costs, from EGP0.55/KWH to EGP1.94/KWH. (Enterprise)
Subsidized loans for support
Sources said the government will start a subsidized loan program with 15% interest rates to freezones manufacturers, agriculture companies, and renewable energy companies. Sources said the Minister of Transport & Industry added that the sectors subjected to the program are yet to be determined. (Enterprise)
