Egypt Aluminum Company [EGAL] – Q2 FY 2025/2026 Results
Egypt Aluminum reported a 13% increase in revenues, reaching EGP 24 billion in the second quarter of FY 2025/2026, compared to EGP 21 billion in the same period last year.
However, production costs rose by 32% due to higher electricity tariffs and raw material prices, leading to a 15% decline in gross profit, which recorded EGP 7.6 billion compared to EGP 8.9 billion in the comparable period.
The company turned from a profit of 234 million pounds from foreign exchange differences to a loss of 310 million pounds, resulting in a 25% decline in net profit, recording 5.6 billion pounds compared to 7.4 billion pounds.
