*Commercial International Bank [COMI]: Slower growth due to the easing interest rate environment*
Despite the easing interest rate environment, COMI continued to report solid operating indicators across profitability, asset quality and balance sheet metrics.
COMI reported a net income in 1Q26 of EGP 17 billion (+7% yoy), and continued to report solid operating indicators , NIM recorded 8.8% in 1Q26 vs 9.13% in 1Q25 despite the decline NIM remained relatively resilient considering the sizeable 825bps reduction in policy rates over 2025 and 1Q26 , ROAE recorded 31.9% in 1Q26 down from 42.8% in 1Q25, meanwhile LDR increased to 53.4% in 1Q26 from 42.8% in 1Q25, while NPLs improved from 3.14% in 1Q25 to 1.73% in 1Q26. COMI also maintained comfortable CAR at 26.9% indicating a solid capital position.
