Abu Qir Fertilizers and Chemical Industries is a public company listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange since September 1994. It works in the manufacture of all types of fertilizers and chemical materials, especially chemical fertilizers and other materials related to them and derived from them or necessary for their manufacture, packaging, purchase and sale. Abu Qir Fertilizers Company is headquartered in Alexandria, Egypt and was established in July 1976. It produces a wide range of nitrogen and phosphate fertilizers, including urea and ammonium nitrate. Abu Qir Company exports 50% of its production to foreign markets, and has exported its products to 40 customers in 31 markets. The company also expanded its consumer base in the local market for free fertilizers to 61 customers.
