Egypt's PMI hits its second low in 14 months
Egypt’s Purchasing Manager’s Index (PMI) for the non-oil private sector saw its reading slightly improve to 47.6 in March vs. 47.1 in February. However, this is the second-lowest reading in 14 months which is below the average reading seen in April 2011 at 48.1. Although the drop was merely softer than in February, the reading remained low due to the high inflationary pressures. (S&P Global)
